1. What is the Big Bull Series?

The Big Bull Series/Model consists of a Limited options, bolt-ping takedown system designed to compete with all the other bolt-pin systems being made today. Options are draw weight, pistol grip, bow length, bubinga or maple riser, large radius recurve limbs.

2. What is the Royal Series?

The Royal Series consists of the Wapiti TD and SR models. Sharp radius recurve, very fast and smooth unique limb design. Options are draw weight, pistol grip, bow length, and risers of bubinga, maple, wenge, and walnut. Straight line laminations only. SA limb Laminations only, brown or black glass.

3. What is the Imperial Series?

The Imperial Series consists of the same limb design of the Wapiti TD and SR models. Options are the same avialable of Royal series, with additional options of waves, crescents, and specials. Clear or colored glass, many limb core options; sa, osage, elm, bamboo, etc. Imperial options available on TD, SR, Raghorn and Slidelock models only.

4. What should the Brace Height be?

As low as possible and yet get good arrow flight with acceptable noise.
Usually 7 1/2 - 8 inches for a recurve, 6 - 7 inches for a Longbow.

5. Can I use a Fast Flight string?

Only if your bow is constructed for Fast Flight. Limb damage will occur very quickly if not.

7. What is a Flemish String?

It is the method of making a string.
All strands are individual and no serving is put on the loops.

8. What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of a flemish string?

Flemish strings are quieter and visually much more attractive.
They do not wear as well and stretch more until broken in.

9. What is an Endless String?

It is a string made of one piece of material, looped to make the string.
Both ends and the center are served for wear protection.
They make more noise than flemish splice strings.

10. What Materials are used in Strings?

Dacron and various forms of Kevlar. Kevlar is better known as Fast Flight.

11. Can I use Wood Arrows?

Yes, any arrow shaft is acceptable: wood, carbon or aluminum.

12. How should I Brace (string) the bow?

Use a bowstringer and follow directions to remove any limb twist caused during the stringing process.

13. Do Recurve bows Break?

Yes. Usually due to improper stringing or unstringing of the bow.

14. Can I get Extra Limbs for a Wapiti Takedown?

Yes, I need the riser one day to fit the new limbs. They will then be completed soon thereafter.

Hand Tight.

16. How should I mount a Quiver to a Wapiti takedown?

Use the Limb Bolts. They are stronger than the bushing methods.

17. Do the Wapiti Recurves have a Crowned (High Center) arrow shelf?

Yes.

18. Is the Arrow Window on the Wapiti Recurve cut past center?

No. Cutting the riser past center is not necessary and weakens the riser drastically.
Wapiti recurves are cut to the Center Line and good arrow flight is easssily obtained.

Limited Lifetime. That is 1 year at 100%, 50% thereafter for as long as the original owner has the bow. It's the Best in the industry today.

22. What are S.A. Laminations?

Superflex Action wood. This is the standard laminated maple made by Old Master Crafters. It is among the best limb core woods available. Made up of laminated strips of maple for great strength and flexibility.

23. Do you have a layaway plan for purchasing bows?:

Yes. Just place a 25% deposit on a bow and the balance as you can.

24. What advantage is Carbon Glass?:

It is a higher performance glass. It helps the longbow 4 to 7 f.p.s. But usually doesn't add much to the already efficient Wapiti recurves.

25. Do the Big Bull and TD have the same Limb Design?:

No. The Big Bull has a Large Radius Limb design, and the Wapiti TD, SR and Slidelock all use the Wapiti Sharp Radius Limb design.

26. How long of a Wait is there to get a Wapiti Custom Bow made?:

27. Do you require a Down Payment before building a custom bow?:

Yes. A 25% deposit is required on all bow orders.

28. Is there a discount if I order an extra set of limbs?:

Yes. If extra limbs are ordered with a bow, 10% discount is allowed.

29. Can I get 260 F.P.S.(feet per second) with a recurve or longbow?:

No. Not with a normal hunting weight arrow. With excessively light arrows, a very long draw and or an extremely heavy draw weight you can get an increase of speed. Usually this is not very practical for most bowhunters.

30. Explain the Design of the Yellowstone, Bugle and Spike Longbows?:

The Yellowstone is the old Howard Hill style reflex Longbow. It is slower, stacks quicker, and has a great deal of handshock.
The Bugle is the same design as the Yellowstone but in a three piece takedown. The Spike is the modern deflex-rebend design. A Super smooth longbow with little handshock. Speed is close to the recurves.
